Night Lights

One night during my photo lab we got to go out to Marshall Street, the main street near campus, were told to just go around and shoot. We went around 6:00 or a bit before so it was just beginning to get  dark when we got there and by the time we left it was almost entirely dark. I had such a fun time playing around with the light and the changes in the light which happened between when we came and left. It felt like someone had flipped a switch and in an instant the natural light, that had just moments ago been illuminating the streets, became darkness and was replaced by streetlights. The glow from the fluorescent storefront lights, which had been outdone by the sun throughout the day, transformed into eerie gigantic nightlights that illuminated little segments of the sidewalks. And I loved it. And here are some of the photos I took.
...
And that's all.

Oldies [first semester project throwback!]

Okay, so today I am cheating. These are actually old photographs that I took for a class last year... I have been attempting to get them to save onto my computer since first semester last year and it has been a continuously epic fail. Until now! So I thought I should celebrate by posting this "photo narrative" series from first semester. As usual thanks to my fabulous friends for allowing me to use their beauteous faces [Brenda, Taylor, Hannah.Youdabest]

Almost an epic fail.
Oh so many thanks to K-Zuby for her willingness to pose and tolerate and angry mirror holding arm.

Blog Fail Confession/ New start: UMBRELLA

Well let me begin by saying I am a blog failure. Boo to me. Despite the fact that I have been taking a plethora of pictures all over the place I have continually failed to post them on my blog (in part because I have not had the time to edit them). So that nonsense must stop! I will try my best to get back on track. Here are a few pictures of my oh so wonderful roommate Taylor Jayne who has once again done me the gigantic favor of posing for me for one of my many photo projects.

(TANKS TAYLOR)

Playing around with shutter speed.
Fun stuff.
